Profile

Tan Kim Hwee is a seasoned cybersecurity professional specializing in security engineering, incident response, AI driven security, Azure cloud architecture, and enterprise security design.

 With over 21 years at Microsoft, he has led major security initiatives across government and enterprise environments, specialising in Advanced Persistent Threats (APT), compromise recovery, and secure cloud transformation. His experience spans the design of AI-driven security capabilities, including automated threat detection, AI-assisted investigations, and cloud security analytics, as well as providing strategic advisory on cybersecurity governance, risk management, and policy. He has also led and mentored security engineering teams across Asia.

 He integrates AI and cloud-native security into his teaching, applying machine learning, automation, and Azure-based security architectures to strengthen cyber resilience. Kim Hwee is committed to developing future cybersecurity leaders through applied learning, hands‑on labs, and real‑world case studies.
